One Shot Wednesday - Hosted by Moondustwriter

Welcome To One Shot Wednesday
where you get to highlight your poetic talents

Hi I am moondustwriter and welcome to another week of great poetry. I have been impressed by the caliber of the poetry that I have been reading, many of you have inspired me and others in their writing the past few weeks.

If you are new to One Shot Wednesday here are a few guidelines:
>
1) Write a poem
2) Link your poem to One Shot using our Mr Linky (your name and the URL for the poem)
3) Visit the sites of other One Shot poets. We all appreciate encouragement. How did a poem speak to you or inspire you?
4) Tell others about One Shot Wednesday

On behalf of One Shot Wednesday, Pete Marshall, Adam Dustus, Brian Miller  and myself, Leslie Moon,  I would like to thank you for being part of this emerging community.

Let the games begin!

Last week's poetry was awesome. Can't wait to get going on this week's. The weather is gloomy and wet here, so I can't think of a better way to spend the day.

My One Shot is here.

Glad I'm not the only early bird. But I'll be sure come back and read everyone who posts after me.

looking forward to another great round as well - with a bit of a delay 'cause i'm in Zürich on business tomorrow - but the prospect of reading many great poems in the evening will keep me going..

I had to post 2 today. I wrote them both yesterday and probably should have saved them for today.

The second offering, "Their Pain", I feel addresses a unique concern in society that often times gets overlooked... thus my highlighting it here.

Enjoy and Thank You!!!

My poem is up on my blogger. It's entitled Homage to Hector. A poem about poetry. Just misses being a 14 line poem in framed couplets. Let me know what you think.

I posted "No Easy Solace" a little earlier in the week, so I hope that's ok. I also have a poem for today's Blog Carnival, "6:24 a.m.", and a new poem will post tomorrow afternoon for a Poetry Party at Abbey of the Arts. Its title will be "Dressing for My Monk".

I am not quite sure what the rules are here. This is my first time and I guess this is my last dedicated weekly poetry programme. Five a week is about all I can manage.

Now I have chosen a format for each poetry entrant;
Magpie - photo prompt
MFM - disciplined 140 max
Poets United - Pantry Corner fr my past
Poets United - Thursday Think Tank - word/quotation prompt - tri photo poem
So for One Shot Wednesday - I hope to post a poem in three language interpretation.

I'll see how it goes...

oops, sorry i didnt see the theme written in the left hand corner. ouch... Is there a way of removing the poem originally posted up and replacing it?

Ben Langhinrchs said...

I added another humorous one, as those seem well received, but it is dark and evil as well as humorous. Just so you have been warned (or intrigued).

Nobody was hurt in the writing of this poem. The reading of it may be another story.

I see comments about weather, the sea, and poems about poems, which is really bizarre because my poem is about all three! (And I haven't even read any of the poems submitted this week, yet.) But I will soon. Thanks, everyone.
