One Shot Wednesday: Poetry Week 22
Welcome to One Stop Poetry! My name is Adam Dustus, and I'll be your host for our 22nd week of One Shot Wednesday.
While it may come as no surprise that things keep moving rather quickly here at One Stop, I'd like to take this opportunity to make a few announcements...
One Stop Poetry is now calling for submissions. If you wish to post an article, highlight an artist, or use our platform to promote a worthy cause; we'd like to here from you.
The One Stop Bookshop is up and in its early stages. If you have written a poetry collection, email us at oneshotpoetry@gmail.com Title the email "Bookshop," and if possible, include the ISBN code.
********Contest Announcement:Okay, this contest is non-traditional, promises to be fun, and even involves video skits... Our good friend Kseverny (Richard North), the creative one-man force behind the Arts Web Show, would like to read humorous poetry during one of his next episodes (TBA). I told him the One Stop Poetry community may be able to lend him a hand in a way that promises to expose the selected poetry to a large audience. In addition, One Stop will also post what he selects. Think about it.... Could you write a poem that will make us all laugh? If so, email your entry to adamdustus@gmail.com I'll send the poems to K without names attached so he will decide on the readings. Hope you will take part in the fun!

One Shot Wednesday, here's how it works:
1) post a poem to your blog2) link your poem to One Shot using Mr Linky, where you will be prompted to enter your name and the URL for your poem. The URL is the web address for your poem
3)Visit other One Shot Poets, as many as you wish. Tell them how you feel when you are reading, encourage and interact with them. If you wish to critique remember to be positive and constructive, negative criticism does not help anyone.
4) Tell others about One Shot Wednesday by including a link to this page on your post

I had requests for another of my weirdly comic poems, so I wrote a villanelle about werewolves. It is paranormally putrid, I assure you.

Mine is a bit of an experiment, my first attempt to write a ghost story in verse, in couplets limited to three and one word each. It's long but moves fast.

Many thanks once again for this useful and well-organised forum! I'm on the (already long) list.
The 2nd of my posts is a bit on the dark side. Hopefully it will, in some way, offer hope for someone held in the darkness.
It's a great day to watch the snow fall and read poetry. I wrote this over the weekend in honor of my dad. Blessings all.

This is my first time participating in One Shot Wednesday! I've always enjoyed reading the contributions, so thought I might give it a try. Thanks for creating this space.
Didn't think writing would happen today, too many things to browse and chew on...
Grateful for the opportunity to join in again this week.
OK - So, November is over (took the NaNoWriMo challenge and wrote not one but two novels) which means I am back making the rounds. My apologies to everyone for not being as active but I hope you understand. I spent four hours this morning reading everything posted thus far.
As usual, as I say time and again, One Stop is simply one of the best collections of writers anywhere on the Net and I feel humbled and honoured to submit.

Holy shamoooley, look at that list! well, I have put in a silly little ditty over at as Christmas is in the air at my house with the first of December bringing the first flakes of winter.
I couldn't decide which poem to put in this week... Heh. Oh, if anyone checks these comments, is there a smaller image somewhere that I could use in my site-links? Something that would fit in my side-bar ...
Another One Shot Wednesday! It's turning into a compulsion for me like I'm beginning to live for poetry! Thank you all for feeling the same obviously or we wouldn't have these 'feasts' for the spirit!

Hi! I noticed the link to my entry "Drowning in Impatience" was removed/never showed up on the list of poems after I added it. Any idea why this would happen? I definitely want to participate again in the future, but I want to do it right next time!
