Welcoming you to another One Shot Wednesday - Week 10

If things in your neck of the woods are anything like things on the moon, the children are back in school, the weather is changing, and It's Time To Write!!!

We have had wonderful submissions to our first poetry competition. Please check back next Tuesday to see who the winner is!

I'm Moondustwriter and I am hosting this week. I would like to welcome you to another week of fine poetry at One Shot. If you have any feedback for future One Shots send them our way. Oneshotpoetry@gmail.com is the best way to reach us. We strive to create an interactive community; we want to represent the talent that is out there - YOU!

If you are new to One Shot, we are glad to have you join us. Here is the format we follow:

1) Write a poem
2) Link your poem to One Shot using our Mr Linky (your name and the URL for the poem)
3) Visit other One Shot poets. Tell them how you felt when reading, encourage them, interact...we might just learn something from each other...
4) Tell others about One Shot Wednesday: by including a link to this page on your post, through Twitter or Facebook

On behalf of One Shot Wednesday: Pete MarshallAdam DustusBrian Miller and Myself, welcome to our corner stage of poetic paradise. We are glad you are here.
Your'e On!!!

Ha! Given my past comic verse, you probably think I can't write dark, serious, brooding poetry. Well, you might be right, but at least it is a dark and stormy night in my poem. Come on over and check it out.

I linked up today. Thanks for giving us a place to write.

Finally made it! I've been lurking about and reading.. but this is my first week joining in.

I visit and comment as much as I can, but often my slow dial up connection makes that near impossible.

Ya know you go to sleep and wake up and find that One Shot has grown.

Great to have: Someone is Special, my friend Catt, amritagosh, His Fire Fly and Tracyhsays

ya know I'm thinking we are gonna need a prize thing down the road as a way to thank all of you. "No Pete it won't be your car."

Was encouraged to stop by, and if you don’t mind I would like to stay a while. I’ll try to learn quickly, but my dog thinks I’m a bit of a slow learning, and he’s usually right; please bare with me. Cheers, David

Marshy said...

if any one wants to win my car i reckon its a worthy prize...although you will have to pay shipping costs which equate to about 10k...any takers? comes with its own taped up bumbers....dents and rust...cheers to all on One Shot day and keep the love flowing...pete

I have posted my poem Viagra For Your Soul from my blog "Backyard Poetry. It is a poem that explores our quick fix, pill popping society and its ramifications. Essentially imagine finding a pill to deal with our political and social problems. Nothing is ever that easy.

Thanks,
George Pappas

Hello! I found this because of the poem of a dear friend (Dulce, who is is actually number 60 or something like that), and I thought it would be very interesting even when I not always write exactly poetry, but I do love writing.
:) By the say Im still learning how it works :/

I think there is something wrong with Dulce's link. :-(

It says the blog does not exist, and I'm sure it does.
