Hi, I'm Adam Dustus. Today, it is my pleasure to announce that I have a special guest poetry post to share...
In the One Stop Poetry spotlight is SuziCate, aka Susan Payne.
SuziCate's blog is called The Water Witch's Daughter, and I'm fan of her posts, especially her poetry, philosophical musings, and travel adventures. Her skill, style, and creativity have earned her a reputation for high quality, meaningful writing. Enjoy!
Authenticity by Susan Payne
Though I am not transparent
I come from the deep
From beneath the weight
Of tons of all that is hard
Not recognized for my luster
My resilience is commendable
For I am no one's imitation
A cubic zirconia, I am not
I am my own diamond
Rough, unpolished, raw
I am not shiny, nor pretty
But I am real
I come from the deep
From beneath the weight
Of tons of all that is hard
Not recognized for my luster
My resilience is commendable
For I am no one's imitation
A cubic zirconia, I am not
I am my own diamond
Rough, unpolished, raw
I am not shiny, nor pretty
But I am real
Suzi- what a simple and profound piece. Authenticity is something being lost today.
